Padel is the fastest-growing sport in Europe, and if you are reading this, you are probably about to play your first game - or looking to upgrade your on-court style. Here is everything you need to wear.
Top
Breathable, moisture-wicking, and flexible. You need full range of motion for overhead smashes and quick lateral movements. A performance t-shirt is ideal. Avoid cotton - it gets heavy with sweat and restricts movement.
Bottoms
Padel shorts are the standard for men. Look for lightweight fabric with stretch. Built-in compression shorts underneath add support during fast movements. For cooler weather, lightweight joggers work too.
Shoes
This is where most beginners get it wrong. Regular trainers or running shoes do not work for padel. You need:
